Overall a pale grey with flashes of green. Individual pieces range from pure white to a mid-grey with black veinlets‚ the whole cut by veins of yellowish green serpentine. Once quarried on the Isle of Iona‚ such a serpentine-marble has been a favourite of sculptors and jewellers for centuries.
