CED were first approached by Andrea Winterflood, the Play and Open Space Development Manager for Thurrock Council, in 2011 with the interest of purchasing materials for her design to landscape the Stonehouse Lane roundabout – a Thurrock Thames Gateway Development project which was completed in 2009.

Materials including glacial boulders, beach cobbles and slate were chosen and the features were installed. CED were asked if they would sponsor the roundabout with a view to supplying more products, to enhance the roundabout further and gladly accepted.
