At the end of September CED Stone Group were invited to attend the official opening of The First Touch Garden at St. George’s hospital in West London. We were delighted to accept.
First Touch is a charity dedicated to the neonatal ward at St. George’s Hospital, and they have spent nearly 20 years dedicating their time to raising awareness and money to fund equipment and projects to improve outcomes for the babies treated in the ward and their families. Many of these babies are born prematurely, some of whom at only 24 weeks (40 weeks is considered normal). However, with the right care and equipment these babies can grow up to live normal, healthy lives. Continue reading
September has been extremely busy for CED Stone Group, with various different shows, events and exhibitions taking place.
At the beginning of the month we hosted a stand at IOG SALTEX which proved to be a great success. Our ‘Guess the Weight of the Boulder’ competition created a lot of interest and provided an interesting talking point. The winner was Max Betting, who is a student at Brinsbury Campus, Chichester College, where he is studying Horticulture level 2. Continue reading
CED Stone Group will host a stand at this year’s SALTEX show, which takes place at Windsor Racecourse from 2 – 4 September. Visitors to the show will be able to browse a range of natural stone products on CED stand number J74. The show has been an important feature in the CED event calendar for many years as the UK’s national event for grounds care, amenities, estates and green space management.
Natural stone suppliers, CED Stone Group, are proud to have entered into a partnership with one of England’s leading independent Builders Merchants, EH Smith. This new stockist is now promoting and distributing their increasingly popular Natural Stone Cladding product “TIER Natural Stone Panel”.
Ced Stone Group supplied stone products to six gardens at this years RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show is the world’s largest annual flower show and CED are delighted to have bee represented so well at the prestigious event. Most of the materials were supplied to the gardens by CED’s Thames Valley Depot.

Expert natural stone supplier, CED Stone Group, supplied 10 gardens at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show with natural stone products and paving. Many of the gardens they supplied won awards at the famous annual flower show, which is sponsored by the Royal Horticultural Society and is considered to be one of the most prestigious events of its kind.
This years Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) award ceremony was held on 12th March at the Gibson Hall. First established in 1995 to recognise and reward the high quality of work carried out by landscape contractors belonging to the organisation, the awards continue to gain recognition and popularity and this year judges saw over 60 entries. Our busy Commercial Department based in West Thurrock is looking for someone to work as part of it’s Technical team.
Main duties will revolve around sample control – stock taking, ordering, labelling, handling. As well as some laboratory work testing stones and collating results.
CED Natural Stone were the proud sponsors of the Judges Award for this years Society of Garden Designers Awards. The ceremony which is referred to as the Horticultural Oscars was held on Friday 24th January at the Millennium Gloucester House Hotel, London. James Alexander-Sinclair hosted the evening where 18 awards were announced to an audience of over 300. Many garden designers are now considering these awards to be amongst the most prestigious in their profession and CED Natural Stone are honoured to be supporting the awards ceremony in their second year.
The evening was an excellent opportunity to reconnect with old friends and colleagues, and form relationships with new ones. Continue reading
