Knapped Flints

The traditional local building material in the South East of England. Knapped Flints have been split by hand and finished to give a flat face which is set facing outwards in the wall. The white skin is also tough and durable. It is common practice to place a few flints showing the white skins within the mass of knapped material. The standard product is shown in the photograph‚ but we can produce different qualities to match existing work and we also provide whole flints.
